It's finally here, the 2012 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin!
The 2012 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin has been released with different designs since 1988 by the Royal Canadian Mint. The uncirculated 2012 Canadian Silver Maple is as unique as those that came before it. The front of the coin is printed with a beautifully detailed bust of Queen Elizabeth II, the monarch of Canada and England for over 60 years. Making hers the second longest reign in England's monarchy and an important historical figure by any measure. The Queens jubilee birthday was celebrated in 2012 making the 2012 Silver Maple Leaf Coin noteworthy for that reason.
The obverse or front of the coin is also inscribed with the words Elizabeth II across the top and 5 Dollars 2012 across the bottom. The reverse of the 2012 Silver Maple Leaf Coin is detailed with the maple leaf, the Canadian government symbol recognized around the word. The numbers 9999 are featured on either side of the maple leaf, drawing attention to the purity of the maple's silver bullion. I found a Morgan Silver Dollar with a chain attached, should I take the chain off?

It is uncirculated (perfect ridges), but has some tarnish on it (mostly on face (obverse) and on eagle (reverse), the design is still very visible and detailed.
It has a chain welded to it (2 pieces, flat oval section and a circular clasp section), should i find a way to take this off to put it in a case?

It's not going to help the value of the coin. If the chain has been welded to the coin, the coin is damaged and it will never be more than just a piece of silver, as far as value goes, worth whatever the silver itself is worth. It's a common date. I'd leave it as is.
